Buster Segura competes in the family dally team roping event Saturday during the San Benito County Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo at Bolado Park.

Sheriff’s deputies will be allowed to put on Western wear for rodeo week starting June 22 and also during the week of the San Benito County Fair in late September into early October.
According to an announcement from the sheriff’s office:
In appreciation of our county’s history and heritage of ranching and farming, and our continued support of the San Benito County Saddle Horse Show & Rodeo, as well as the San Benito County Fair, our Sheriff has authorized staff to wear denim jeans, western style boots, and western style hats for the following time periods:
RODEO WEEK – June 22-June 28, 2015 (San Benito County Saddle Horse Show & Rodeo)
FAIR WEEK – September 28th – October 4th, 2015 (San Benito County Fair)
For patrol and jail staff, the attire would consist of jeans, boots, western hat (optional), uniform shirt and full duty belt.
