A Hollister man was shot in his home early Monday morning
– a shooting that may be gang-related, according to police.
Hollister police officers responded to a call from Chappell
Circle at approximately 1:05 a.m., where they discovered an adult
male, age 20 or 21, with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The unidentified man was flown to an undisclosed hospital and is
expected to recover from his wounds.

Hollister police officers responded to a call from Chappell Circle at approximately 1:05 a.m., where they discovered an adult male, age 20 or 21, with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The unidentified man was flown to an undisclosed hospital and is expected to recover from his wounds.
The victim was in his residence when the suspects knocked on his door and were then allowed into the residence, police said.
They shot the victim with an unknown type of handgun and fled the area on foot. The handgun has not been recovered.
Other people were in the residence at the time, but the only description available of the suspects are two Hispanic males wearing dark clothing, police said.
The police suspect gang involvement because the victim has gang affiliations, said Capt. Bob Brooks.
No one has been arrested for the shooting and no suspects have been identified. The victim’s name is being withheld for his safety.
