Sidney A. Moses died suddenly Thursday morning at his home in Hollister. He was 91.

Originally from Charleston, W. Va., he moved to the county in 1958. He came to Hollister to work for McCormick Selph in Research and Development as an engineer. Later, he worked for Holex of Hollister. Moses graduated from Ohio State University.

He also studied art and painted landscapes of San Benito County.

Moses is survived by wife Martha Moses of Hollister; daughter Caroline Moses Camley and husband Robert of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son Dale A. Moses and wife Kim Garey-Moses of Saugus, Calif.; grandson Brian Camley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and grandchildren Taylor and Courtney Moses and Erin and Shannon Garey, all of Saugus.

Friends are invited to an informal gathering commemorating Moses’ life at the family residence Dec. 21 from 2-4 p.m.

Contributions are preferred to the donor’s favorite charity.

Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
