Sigrid H. Nickols died suddenly at her Hollister home. She was 86.

She was born in Elmo, N.D. on Nov. 8, 1917 and came to San Benito County 24 years ago.

She had worked in the banking industry for many years. She last worked as a bookkeeper in the accounting department for the Sequoia Schools District for 21 years from where she retired.

She is survived by her son and his wife Saint E. and Esther A. Nickols II of Hollister; grandchildren Saint E. Nickols III, David M. and Christine Nickols and Alyson H. Nickols; and great-grandchildren David M. Nickols Jr. and Chaylene Nickols.

She was preceded in death by her husband Saint Elmo Nickols who died in 1975.

As per her wishes, private cremation has been conducted through Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Crematory. Private interment of her cremains will be at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto.
