Socorro Angulo Moraga was born on April 9, 1940, in Durango Mexico. Lived in Los Mochis Sinaloa where she married Joseph Charles Moraga and had her eight children.

The family moved to Gilroy California in 1980. She passed away peacefully after a short, courageous battle with lung cancer on Saturday, January 8th, 2011, in Gilroy. A mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Socorro is survived by her eight beloved children, Yvon Hernandez and husband Victor, Daniel Moraga, Saida Moraga, Monica DeHaro and husband Juan, Jose Moraga and wife Maria, Sandra Moraga and husband Zeke, Marcos Moraga, Maria Foster and husband Brian and her 24 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Also survived by her family Aguilar-Reyes from Los Mochis, Sinaloa.

She was a home health aid for the elderly for 25 years in Gilroy. She loved to garden and spend all her free time with her children, grandkids and playing bingo. She was our first true love, our best friend and our rock.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 14, 2011, with the Rosary following at 7:00 P.M., both at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. The funeral will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 11:00 A.M.
