While San Benito pitcher Paige Miguel tossed a no-hitter against Everett Alvarez in their previous meeting on April 8, the junior hurler teamed up with Megan Sabattini on Tuesday to combine for a five-inning no-no against the Eagles as the Lady Balers earned a 10-0 victory in Tri-County Athletic League action.

Miguel (2IP, 0H, 0R, 3K, 1BB, 1HBP) and Sabattini (3IP, 0H, 0R, 7K, 0BB, 0HBP) kept the Alvarez bats silent, and limited the Eagles to just two base runners in the game.

Meanwhile, Mari Vallejo was 2 of 3 in the game, Danielle Acosta was 2 of 3 with a pair of doubles and Samantha Puentes added two hits.

San Benito did all of its scoring in the second inning, when it plated four runs, and in the fourth inning, when it tacked on six more. San Benito had 12 hits in the game.

The Lady Balers are now 19-2 overall and 8-0 in the TCAL, and now hold a two-game lead in the loss column over both Gilroy and Notre Dame after the Mustangs upset the Spirits on Tuesday by a 2-1 margin.

San Benito will visit Alisal on Thursday before traveling to Notre Dame on Friday. Both games are scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
