Thursday in Tri-County Athletic League action.

Danielle Acosta tossed a two-hitter, Jessica Vest hit for the cycle and the San Benito Lady Balers defeated host Alisal 12-1 on Thursday in Tri-County Athletic League action.

Vest was 4 of 4 with a single, double, triple and home run, while teammate Marissa Adame went 3 of 4 at the plate for the Lady Balers.

San Benito is now 9-0 in the TCAL and 20-2 overall.

Acosta (7IP, 2H, 1R, 7K, 1BB, 0HBP) struck out seven and didn’t allow a run until the bottom of the seventh inning, when San Benito already held a double-digit lead.

Both Ali Ocampo and Samantha Puentes were 2 of 3 in the game, while Mari Vallejo was 2 of 2.

San Benito will go for its 10th league victory today, Friday, when it will visit Notre Dame in Salinas at 4:30 p.m.
