Baseball: Balers win final two games of VC tourney
After falling in the first game of the Valley Christian Tournament on Monday, the San Benito baseball team rallied for two consecutive wins to improve to 13-3 overall.

The San Benito softball team improved to 6-1 Tuesday with a 5-0 victory over North Salinas. The Balers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning and added four runs in the final two frames.

Coming into last year’s final Tri-County Athletic League championship meet, the San Benito girls swimming and diving team was looking to win its fourth consecutive league title. Because of an early split-second leap in the 400-yard freestyle relay, though, that fourth straight title was taken from their grasp.Â

Through eight matches this season, the Balers tennis team has yet to find its winning ways of a year ago. San Benito fell to 0-8 on the season Wednesday, falling 6-1 to Stevenson at the Ridgemark Tennis Center.
Softball: Balers squeeze by Gilroy 2-1 in league opener
It’s been since 2006 that the Gilroy HIgh softball team has been able to best San Benito on the diamond. But that doesn’t mean they haven’t had their chances, and Tuesday that streak continued in Gilroy as the Balers made it 20 straight wins over their rival.
Golf: Balers prepare fundraising tournament
The San Benito boys and girls golf teams will be hosting the Baler Golf Tournament and Fundraiser on April 14 at San Juan Oaks Golf Club.
