Steven A. Gordon, 55, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2009 in Santa Barbara, CA. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin on January 10, 1954 and graduated from Lafollette High School in 1972. At the age of 18, Steve began his professional career at Wisconsin Public Radio as a recording engineer. He moved to California in 1980 and became in independent audio producer, engineer and voice talent working with a number of media companies on the west and east coasts. His work is reflected in many commercials, webcasts, television and film productions. Steve also developed and marketed his own audio book label which received four Audie awards – the audio book industry’s highest award – as well as numerous other audio book citations.

Steve loved anything to do with sound and music. He was an audio purist, always searching for the perfect pitch and tone to help his clients and friends hear sound the way it was meant to be. Steve continually and selflessly donated his time and efforts to many worthy causes including his active support of the Nan Pipestem Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

Steve is survived by many family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
