Police attempting to pull over an 18-year-old suspect wanted for a probation violation at 3:44 p.m. Monday were led on a high-speed chase along Airline Highway that ended in the suspect crashing his vehicle and fleeing on foot.

According to police, the man then fled on foot into an occupied home while carrying a loaded handgun. The suspect fled straight through the house and out the back door, then jumped several fences before being apprehended by law enforcement in the Rite Aid parking lot, police said. He was booked into the San Benito County Jail.
