Both teens involved in the stabbing incident, a 16- and 17-year-old, were taken to Saint Louise Regional Hospital that Sunday evening with multiple stab wounds and later taken by helicopter to San Jose Medical Center, where one teen required surgery to repair his wounds and the other needed only stitches. Both have since been released from the hospital.

There is still no recognizable motive for the attack.

Deputies believe Macias is hiding out in south Santa Clara County.

The stabbing occurred in the 80 block of East San Martin Avenue when the two teens and a friend were allegedly attacked by Macias when arriving at a party. Macias allegedly began stabbing one of the teens when he got out of a car and the other teen – who was the driver of the car – when he got out and tried to control Macias.
