Sheriff’s deputies are trying to find two men who reportedly broke into a San Juan Bautista home early Friday and physically assaulted an 85-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man while they slept.

The attack reportedly happened in the 300 block of Mission Vineyard Road at approximately 2:35 a.m. Friday when two masked men entered the home and assaulted the woman in her bed, the sheriff’s department said.

The assailants then reportedly made their way into the man’s room and assaulted him in his bed.

The suspects then fled without taking anything or saying a word, the sheriff’s department said.

The victims, whose names were withheld by the sheriff’s department, were taken to Hazel Hawkins Hospital where they were treated for their injuries and later released.

The sheriff’s department is investigating the attack and asks anyone who may have information regarding the case or the identities of the assailants to call the department’s investigations division at 636-4080 or the anonymous tip line at 636-4084.
