It was another straight sweep for the San Benito High swim team last Thursday, as the Baler boys topped host North Salinas 150-28 while the Lady Balers won by a 135-33 margin — the meet taking place at Everett Alvarez High School.

San Benito picked up several more Central Coast Section qualifying times as well, including the boys 200 free and 400 free relays.

In the 200 free, Graham Spurzem, Sebastian Forbush, Nick Angulo and Quinn Six recorded a 1:34.71 to advance to the year-end meet. The same foursome then qualified in the 400 free when they clocked a 3:31.58.

All three relays for the boys team have now qualified to CCS.

On the girls side, Demi Gatrell finished in second place in the 100 fly with a 1:02.60 and qualified to the CCS meet as a result. Teammate Czsarina Isleta took first place in the race with a 1:01.17, but had previously qualified in the 100 fly at an earlier meet.

On Wednesday (diving) and Thursday (swimming), San Benito and Salinas will square off in Hollister at 3:30 p.m.
