San Benito sophomore Quinn Six used the final meet of the regular season on Friday as another chance to qualify toward the Central Coast Section Championships.

The Baler sophomore, who transferred from Santa Teresa High this year, clocked a 56.19 in the 100 fly last Friday against Everett Alvarez, and qualified to CCS in his fourth individual event. As a member of all three relay teams as well, Six has now qualified in seven events total, including the 100 fly, the 200 IM, the 200 free and the 100 back.

Six was the lone Haybaler to qualify to additional CCS events on Friday at Everett Alvarez, where San Benito cruised past the host Eagles comfortably in what was the final meet of the regular season.

The Baler boys topped Alvarez 141-54, while the Lady Balers did the same by a 136-34 margin.

San Benito, which completes its regular season undefeated in the Tri-County Athletic League, will now focus on this week’s TCAL Championships.

The diving portion of the year-end meet will be held Wednesday at Carmel, while the swimming portion will kick-off Friday at Salinas’ Everett Alvarez High.
