Sylvia R. Prado passed away in Salinas at the age of 39. She was born in Hollister and lived here all of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, involved with the March of Dimes and helped with a documentary for Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her parents, Silviano and Maria Prado of Hollister, her brothers and sister and their spouses, Jesse (Lupe) Prado of Hollister, Ramon (Veronica) Prado of Hollister and Rosi Prado (Fabian Herrera) of Hollister and her nieces and nephews, Dominque Prado, Jesse Prado, Jr, Jizzelle Prado, Tony Prado, Valerie G. Prado, Victoria R. Prado, Nicholas Prado, Tristian Medina and Madison Romero.

Friends can pay their respects on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Mass will be on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment and graveside services will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.
