San Jose Taiko has brought the powerful sounds and tradition of taiko drumming to audiences for more than three decades. A regular feature in the SBC Arts Council’s Artists in the Schools Program, San Jose Taiko will leave you mesmerized by percussive rhythms, physical choreography and electrifying stage presence. This performance is especially crafted for youth and adult audiences.
Dimensions Dance Theater, based out of Oakland, has advanced African-American-inspired dance through presentation of traditional and contemporary dance, including African, jazz, modern and hip hop.
This performance is sponsored by the San Benito County Arts Council with support from Corbin, Heritage Bank of Commerce, the California Arts Council, Community Foundation for San Benito County and Monterey Peninsula Foundation. All proceeds benefit the SBC Arts Council’s Artists in the Schools Program, which serves more than 6,000 local students annually with quality art programs and services.
