Dear Editor:

As a graduate of Leadership Salinas Valley, I would like to encourage San Benito County residents to consider participating in the Leadership San Benito County program.

The experience I had participating in this great program was very worthwhile – personal and professional growth were beyond my expectations. The leadership skills I gained from this program have enabled me to serve my community effectively.

The program not only expands business knowledge and has positive community exposure for businesses, but graduates will leave this program serving their community in positive ways – by participating in local events, serving effectively on the boards, foundations, non-profit organizations, city and county governments – which will help shape our community.

We must prepare for the future. Leadership San Benito County teaches leaders to travel into the future preserving and carrying out the vision with which our community was built, gaining a wealth of knowledge, understanding, appreciation and respect for San Benito County.

Employers, I encourage you to send your key employees through this program. These graduates will enhance your business with their knowledge of community, effective communication, problem solving, decision-making, running effective meetings, conflict resolution, listening and negotiation skills – all from a professional trainer.

San Benito County needs positive reinforcement. This can be accomplished by using our most valuable resource – the working people of our community willing to make a difference!

For further information about Leadership San Benito County, please contact San Benito County Chamber of Commerce at 637-5315.

The deadline for accepting applications has been extended to July 7, so do not delay in submitting an application!
