Thelma J. Kain passed away in Hollister at the age of 86. She was born in Batesville, AR and lived in Hollister since 2004 moving here from San Jose. She had lived in San Jose from 1967 to 2004. She liked bowling and traveling during her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Kain who died in 1992 and is survived by her children, Stephen Kain (Toni Notar) of Hollister, Barbara East (Thomas) of Woodenville, WA, Michael Kain and Kathy Cano (Steven) of Carson City, NV, her sister, Gracie Shirley of Porterville and her grandchildren, Nikki Cano, Shannon East, K.C. Cano, Sarah Kain, Melissa East, Zachary East and Daniella Vargas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 201,0 at 10:00 A.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home in Hollister. Committal services will be at Oak Hill Memorial Park at 1:00 P.M. in San Jose.

Rev. Ardyss Golden of the United Methodist Church will officiate at the services at the funeral home.

Donations are preferred to The Alzheimer’s Day Care Center c/o the funeral home.
