Theresa Marie Mello died Aug. 23 in Killeen, Texas. She was 73 years old.
Born in Hollister on Oct. 29, 1930, she graduated from San Benito High School in 1948. She served in the US Army for 22 years and worked as finance specialist for 13 years and an administrative specialist for over eight years. In the military she received the Good Conduct Medal 7th Award, a National Defense Service Ribbon and an Overseas Service Ribbon. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Theresa is survived by Henry J. Mello and wife Rita of Hollister; nephew Bruce Mello of Hollister; nieces Lavonne Mello of Pacific Grove and Melissa Mello of San Jose; aunt Anette Morris of Hollister, and close-friend Joyce Sickler of Temple, Texas.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10am on Sept. 27 at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be donated to the Diabetes Association.
