I’m getting really tired of the carping about the war from the
liberals and the liberal press. It’s beginning to sound
anti-American. Nothing we can do is good enough. The nine
bobble-head Democrats that are running against President Bush are
relentless in their attack. Do they really think the world was
better off with Sadaam in power?
I’m getting really tired of the carping about the war from the liberals and the liberal press. It’s beginning to sound anti-American. Nothing we can do is good enough. The nine bobble-head Democrats that are running against President Bush are relentless in their attack. Do they really think the world was better off with Sadaam in power?

The troopers of the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force executed one of the most brilliant mounted attacks in military history; and with few casualties. The press has blown that off. They managed to trash the Jessica Lynch story by changing it from a feel-good story to a tawdry coverup. All the press concentrates on is putting a negative spin on the challenges that we face. Where will all this stop?

President Bush did state that major combat operations had ceased, but he did not say the war was over. We have been taking casualties, but that is why they call it “war.” We are pitted against a determined foe who realizes that this is its last chance to bring its brand of theocracy into the world. We are fighting people who hate our very way of life. Anyone who can’t make the connection between Sadaam’s regime, the Taliban and al Qaeda is deluding themselves. Sadaam’s regime was a beacon for terrorists. When he ignored U.N. sanctions he provided moral encouragement for those who have taken a beautiful religion and twisted it to their own perverse actions. Never mind his harboring Abu Nidal who murdered wheelchair bound Leon Klinghoffer! Or the Ansar Al Islam training camp in Northern Iraq, or his torture chambers or rape rooms or mass graves!

The cost will be monumental. The casualties will continue. Make no mistake, we are in a fight for our lives. The terrorists figure that our politicians will cut and run, as they did when the Marine Barracks was blown up Beirut or like we did in Somalia. Mr. Bush understands that we must stay the course, stiffen our resolve and take the fight to the enemy!

If you need to remember why we are doing this, remember 9/11 with the towers collapsing; our brothers and sisters leaping to their deaths to avoid incineration and the valiant NYPD & FDNY. Wake up America. We are fighting World War III! This is the time for stout hearts, not wobbly knees!
