Tina Marie Betancourt, 47, passed away October 13, 2009, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.

She is survived by her long time companion Pablo Chaperon; children Anthony (Jeannette) Gonzalez, Beatrice Castro (Joel), Bianca Dominguez, and Mario Chaperon; grandson Joel Banuelos; parents Ramon and Yolanda Betancourt; grandmother Maria Betancourt; sister of Gabriela (Paul) Betancourt, Guy (Olga) Betancourt, and Kino (Griselda) Betancourt; niece of Gloria Adame, Mercy (Damacio) Molina, Maggie (Ross) Cruz, Daniel Blanco, Rosemary (Wade) Berry, Mary (Sam) Saidor, Richard Blanco, Joe (Jessie) Betancourt, Mary Betancourt, Martha Betancourt, Irene (Reynaldo) Jaurique, Rachel (Abe) Luevanos, Ricardo Betancourt, and Alice Jaramillo. Preceded in death by her grandparents Jesus and Ignacia Blanco and Gabriel Betancourt.

Tina worked the last 15 years at Uesugi Farms as a supervisor, where many will recognize her from the fruit stand on Hwy. 25. She enjoyed her job very much and met many good friends. Most of all, Tina loved spending time with her family and friends. Tina also leaves behind her friend Angie Jackson. To Pete and Joe Aiello, thank you for all your help in our time of need, especially for the last celebration at the pumpkin patch. Special thanks to Judy Bonino (LJB Farms) for walking Tina through her journey with cancer.

A visitation will begin from 1:00 P.M. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, with a Vigil service at 7:30 P.M. both at Habing Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be said 12:00 P.M. noon Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
