SAN JUAN BAUTISTA
Crystal Prado will be the lone representative from the Anzar High track and field team at Saturday’s Central Coast Section Semifinals, where the junior jumper will seek a top spot in order to qualify toward next Friday’s CCS Finals.
Prado will compete in the long jump event after she recorded a 15-01 1/2 last week to take second place at the Mission Trail Athletic League Championships.
The Anzar junior is one of 34 competitors listed for Saturday’s event, and only the top eight placers in the long jump will advance to the CCS Finals.
Prado is expected to compete in the long jump at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Garcia-Elder Sports Complex in Gilroy.
