Emergency crews clean up after an accident Wednesday at Fairview and Sunnyslope roads that sent two people to the hospital. The accident occurred at about 4:15 p.m. when Libby Flores, 37, of Hollister, swerved her 2001 Dodge Durango to the left to avoid a collision with another vehicle that was waiting to turn left from Sunnyslope onto Fairview, according to the California Highway Patrol. Flores’ manuever took her SUV into the opposing lane, where she collided head-on with a 1989 Chevrolet driven by Margaret Flores, 49, of Hollister. Both drivers were taken to Hazel Hawkins Hospital, Libby Flores for treatment of a broken left arm and pain in her neck and back and Margaret Flores for pain in her neck and back, the CHP said. Neither driver was cited.
