Police continue to investigate after two 16-year-old Hollister
juveniles were stabbed last week in a fight outside Gabilan Hills
Elementary School.
The two boys apparently heard some friends were going to be
outnumbered in a fight so they showed up, said Officer Rosie
Betanio, spokeswoman of the Hollister Police Department. There,
they were attacked by an unknown suspect who stabbed one of them on
the left side of the abdomen and the other in the left buttock,
police said, while both survived.

The two boys apparently heard some friends were going to be outnumbered in a fight so they showed up, said Officer Rosie Betanio, spokeswoman of the Hollister Police Department. There, they were attacked by an unknown suspect who stabbed one of them on the left side of the abdomen and the other in the left buttock, police said, while both survived.

Police shortly before 9 p.m. May 13 first heard the report of a large group fighting near the school. Minutes later, the county communications department was informed of stabbing victims at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, police said.

Victims did not provide names, descriptions or any other information about the suspect, while Betanio said it appears to be a gang-related incident.
