A San Jose touring group will be performing “bare” at The Vault through June 27, according to an announcement on the production.

SJS Theatrical Productions makes its debut with the Bay Area Premier Production of “bare”. “bare” was written by JON HARTMERE and DAMON INTRABARTOLO. “bare” received its world premiere staging at the Hudson MainstageTheater, Hollywood, California on October 14, 2000. Produced by God Help! Productions (Danny Feldman, Eric Anderson, Daniel A. Miles, Damon Intrabartolo & Kristin Hanggi), John Ottman & Donnie Land. Directed by KristinHanggi. Original Los Angeles concert reading directed by Mischa Pfister in June, 1999.
“Bare” is about a group of high school seniors at a Catholic boarding school facing issues of sexuality and personal identity. As they struggle to come to terms with who they are, and who the world thinks they should be, they seek answers from their Church, their friends, and ultimately, from within themselves. Its rich, vibrant score draws on many styles of contemporary music. The multicultural cast is from all regions of California, from San Francisco to San Diego. “Bare” is being Lead by the two time award winning creative team of San Benito County’s Best Theater. Their shows include “Jekyll and Hyde the Musical,” “The Neverending Story” (California Premier),“Richard III: The Rise of a New King” and“Wonderland: The Alice Story.” SJS Theatrical’s production of “bare” will start the Bay Area leg of the tour on June 19, 2015 and will run in Hollister until June 27, 2015. The show will be held in the historic Hollister downtown at The Vault. The Vault provides a beautiful setting of the Hollister sky line.
