Dear Editor:

To those families that have been waiting for the tile you ordered on the May 9 order, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9242 and I, as commander, extend our deepest apology for their not being installed.

The orders were turned in as scheduled on the morning of May 12. The procedure required the orders go through the Vets Building contractor and then to the stone cutter. The orders were delayed somewhere in that process.

The books for the process were turned over to the VFW on July 9 and the proofs were to be overnight mailed to us on the 10th. On receipt, we will check them and priority mail them back to the stone cutter. He will then cut the templates and schedule a date to cut the tiles.

On receipt of that scheduled date, we will attempt to call each of the families with a tile on order.

Again, I extend my apology for this delay, it has been a frustrating process.

Charles Scott,

commander, VFW Post No. 9242,

Hollister
