Victoria Margarita Spohr, born January 1, 1911, in San Mateo, CA, to Emma and Victor Reyen, died peacefully in her Garden Valley home on January 18, 2008. She was a devoted homemaker and mother to six children; Robin Spohr, (Harriet), David Spohr, (Maria Luiza), Margaret Buyas, (Jerry), Marilyn Gustas, (Jim), Eric Spohr, (deceased), and Christine Danmaker, (Ralph), grandmother to 21 grandchildren, great-grandmother to 41 and great-great-grandmother to 4.

Victoria graduated from Burlingame High School in 1930 and married Holger Isaksen Spohr on February 14, 1931. Holger preceded her in death on October 7, 1994 after 63 years of loving married life. She was an accomplished pianist and vocalist, a 4-H sewing leader, a preschool teacher and an avid, life-long gardener. Twice past president of the Divide Garden Club, she was active in many annual flower shows, plant sales and community beautification projects. She will be much missed by all who knew and loved her generous nature.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Rd., Diamond Springs, CA 95610. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at the House of Prayer, 7901 Hwy 193, Garden Valley, CA, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M.
