Vincent F. Penello passed away December 22, 2009 in Covington, WA. He was born May 24, 1919 in Merced, CA where he lived during his youth. He moved to the San Francisco area where he was married to his wife of 66 years, Marie Rocchetta, who passed before him in October of 2007. They settled in Redwood City, were they raised their two sons, Albert and Edward. They later lived in Mountain View and then Morgan Hill, CA before moving to Covington, WA. He was in the grading and excavating business for 40 plus years and with his sons for the last 20 years before retiring.

He was active at the Covington Senior Center in Washington where he resided for the past 5 years. Before moving to Washington, he was active for many years with the Elks Lodge in Gilroy, CA.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Karen and Terry. He was a beloved grandfather to Albert-John, Dara, Sean, Annmarie, Jessica and Brandon. He was brother to Edna Southern. Uncle to Richard and Carol Pera; Robert, Dee and John Matteucci; Richard and Michael Rocchetta. Great Uncle to Chris, Laura, Rick, and Dawn Para; and Carla and Jilliann Matteucci. Beloved friends of Cecelia Tomme and Ramona Ward.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7th, 2010 at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Church, 107 San Pedro Rd., Colma, CA. Entombment to follow at Olivet Memorial Park, Colma.
