Virginia Belle Samuelson passed away at the age of 78 on Wednesday evening at her home in Hollister. Virginia was born in Glendale, CA, having lived in Long Beach and Hayward prior to coming to Hollister 45 years ago. Virginia was an active member of Hollister United Methodist Church and had been a track coach for 24 years for the San Benito High School. She was recently chosen to be a member of the high school Hall of Fame. Virginia was a Audiometrist in which she did hearing testing for 40 years.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Harry Samuelson of Hollister, her sons; Michael Samuelson, wife, Kathy of Windsor, CA, and William Samuelson of Carmichael, CA, grandchildren; Allison and Stephanie McConnel, both of Windsor and a sister, Velma Raab of San Lorenzo,CA.

A memorial service will be held next Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 11 A.M. at the Hollister United Methodist Church, 521 Monterey St. Cremation with private inurnment has been held.

Contributions are preferred to the Hospice of the Central Coast or the Hollister United Methodist Church in care of the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
