Northside Convalescent Home on Tuesday, Sept. 2. She was 65.

Long-time Hollister resident Virginia E. Baumgartner died at Northside Convalescent Home on Tuesday, Sept. 2. She was 65.

She was a graduate of Hollister High School and attended victory Out Reach in Hollister. She was an avid crossword puzzle doer, Cribbage, Hearts and Bunko player. She also bowled in the San Jose Leagues. She was a technician for Semi conductor in San Jose for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her son Paul.

She is survived by her children Robin (Tony) Boyan, Jim Nessen, Charles E. (Jennifer) Nessen, B.J. (Adelina) Johnson, Denielle (C.J.) Baumgartner, Robin (Mark) Coleman and Kenneth (Denita) Nessen; her brothers John, David, Gary, Robert and Glen Baumgartner; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Friday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Arrangements have been made for a private cremation and inurnment through Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Crematory.

Donations may be sent to the Cancer Society or the Humane Society in care of the mortuary chapel.
