Virginia McKee died in Hollister on Sept. 30. She was 93.

She was born in Salt Lake City.

McKee had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed being with her family and friends, loved flowers and reading.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia E. Matulich of Gilroy, Alberta and her husband, Allan Aufdermauer of Minden, Nev., and Gloria Anika of San Martin; her grandchildren, Linda and her husband, Tom Renz of Hollister, Rosie and her husband Robert Ortiz of Gilroy, Joseph and Leannette Anika of San Jose, Michelle and her husband, Tom Bartee of Mad River, Calif., Cyndi and her husband Russ Limon of Turlock, Jim and his wife, Jamie Forester of San Rafael, and John Forester, of Edward Air Force Base, Calif., 14 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the close friend of Viola Breshears of Reno, Carol Porter of Gilroy, David and Marianne Peoples of Gilroy and Lenor Rodriguez of Gilroy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley R. McKee, her grandson, Steven M. Anika, and her two sons in law, Paul F. Matulich and Leland C. Anika.

A vigil service will be held today at 6 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
