The San Benito Haybalers narrowly lost in three sets (22-25, 26-24, 16-18) to Willow Glen at the Los Gatos Invitational on Saturday and ended a three-match winning streak in the process.

Since falling to Gilroy on April 8, the Balers had defeated Salinas in four games (25-11, 27-25, 23-25, 25-21), topped Watsonville in five games (22-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11) and silenced Alisal in three games (25-8, 25-10 25-21).

San Benito is now 10-3 in the Tri-County Athletic League, 12-10 overall.

The Balers will visit Palma on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. San Benito previously defeated the Chieftains in five sets on Match 18. However, the Salinas school is coming off an upset victory over previously undefeated Gilroy.
