The San Benito boys volleyball team advanced to Friday’s Monterey Bay League championship match Wednesday, sweeping Monterey 3-0 in Hollister.

San Benito dominated the match, winning the first game 25-18 and closing the victory with wins of 25-16 and 25-21.

The victory sets up a rematch with the Balers only league loss of the season with Watsonville. The Wildcatz defeated the Balers 3-1 in early April.

With the victory San Benito is 25-7 overall and 15-1 in league play.
