The No. 6 San Benito High girls volleyball team is scheduled to
play No. 3 Evergreen Valley Saturday in the quarterfinal round of
the Central Coast Section Division I Championships.
The match will be held in Watsonville High at 3 p.m.

The No. 6 San Benito High girls volleyball team is scheduled to play No. 3 Evergreen Valley Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the Central Coast Section Division I Championships.
The match will be held in Watsonville High at 3 p.m.
Although the two teams were already slated to play against each other on Saturday, a time and location wasn’t made official until after Wednesday’s first round of play, which saw No. 7 Gilroy (16-10) beat No. 10 Watsonville (20-12) in three sets, and No. 9 Monta Vista (20-12) defeat No. 8 Gunn (17-23) in five sets.
Gilroy will now square off against No. 2 Menlo-Atherton (19-7) on Saturday, with the winner advancing to Thursday’s semifinals against the winner between San Benito (19-17) and Evergreen Valley (22-7).
