Walter Loren Brister passed away in Hollister, CA on Saturday, January 22nd, 2011, at the age of 78 years after a long illness.
Walter was a native and a former resident of San Jose, who moved to San Benito County in 1986. He was a graduate of Balboa High School, S. F.; a Veteran of the Korean War, and retired from AT&T after a 30-year career.
Walter is survived by his wife of 17 years Annette M. Brister of Hollister; his son Douglas Loren Brister , spouse Sylvia, from his first marriage of 33 years to Phyllis M. Brister who passed away September 26, 1988; his grandchildren Sabrina M. Brister, Russell Loren Brister and Phyllis D. Brister; four step-children, five step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Walter’s life on Friday, January 28th, 2011, at 6:00 P.M. in the Diablo Room of Ridgemark Golf & Country Club, 3800 Airline Highway, Hollister.
Interment and graveside services will be held Monday, January 31st, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Memorial Park 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose to which friends are invited.
