Seaside resident
Seaside resident Ward H. Gilbert died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 in Paicines. He was 71.
Mr. Gilbert was born in South Dakota. He had owned and operated a wood cutting and delivery service for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Gilbert of Seaside; his daughter, Jennifer Gilbert-Sturm of Monterey; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 523 Ramona St. in Monterey.
Arrangements for cremation were under the direction of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory in Hollister.
