Former Hollister resident Wayne F. King died Monday, Nov. 10 in Fort Smith, Ark. He was 85.

He was a retired shop foreman for the state of California Transportation Department, a member of the Assembly of God Church, Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Lee King.

He is survived by his daughter Marilyn (Steve) Johnson of Hollister; sisters Dorothy Hummell of Pottsville, Pa., and Pauline Buffington of Fairfield, Calif.; brothers Vernon King of Richmond, Calif., and Claud King of Fort Smith; grandchildren Joe Falcone and Terrie Fuentes, both of Hollister; and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. at Graveside National Cemetery with burial at National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark. Services are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.

A viewing will be held Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 15 and 16 from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The family will visit with friends Sunday, Nov. 16 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
