To them he was, and will always be, “Mr. Funk”. To his co-workers he was the center ground, the unifier of their school community and defender of their best interests. His love of life and desire to enjoy each day was the fortune he provided his family. He loved the outdoors and always understood the true value in the simple pleasures and the beauty it provides. Numerous camping trips, road trips, ski trips, days at the beach, and hours playing basket ball or barbequing in the backyard with his family were the moments that he treasured most. Those memories are the gifts he gave his family.
