lenghthy illness Wednesday, July 30, at Hazel Hawkins Northside
Convalescent Hospital. He was 91.

Long-time Hollister resident Werner E. Tognazzini died after a lenghthy illness Wednesday, July 30, at Hazel Hawkins Northside Convalescent Hospital. He was 91.

Tognazzini worked as a vineyard rancher in Cienega Valley for many years and then as a carpenter for nearly 40 years with Joe Schmidt construction.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Tognazzini. Tognazzini is survived by his wife, Marie L. Tognazzini of Hollister; daughter Florence J. Vallejo of Hollister; and grandchildren Craig A. Vallejo of Hollister and Debra M. Reimche of Elk Grove, Calif. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. Arrangements for cremation with private inurnment have been made.
