Around 3:55 p.m. today, a sport-utility vehicle rolled over multiple times south of the intersection of Fairview and McCloskey roads, causing “minor to moderate injuries” to a 20-year-old woman, said San Benito County Fire Department Capt. Jim Dellamonica.

“We decided not to airlift based on the ambulance’s assessment,” he said, adding that the extent of the injuries will not be known until she is admitted to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital.

California Highway Patrol officers declined to comment on what happened during the accident other than to say the vehicle rolled over.

The green GMC vehicle went through a white, wooden fence on the west side of Fairview Road and ended up on its side with the hood pointing eastward. Most of the windows in the SUV were broken, and there was damage to the hood and front grill.

Responding to the scene were members from the Calfire/San Benito County Fire Department, the CHP and emergency service technicians with American Medical Response.
