Gary L. Mann passed away Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Santa Clara Kaiser Hospital due to complications from Lung cancer. He was 63 years old.
Born and raised in Indiana, he joined the U.S. Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam from 1963 to 1967. Following his discharge, he settled in San Jose and married his wife Cyndi in 1982 at Lake Tahoe. He worked as a Sales Engineer with RF Associates North in Sunnyvale for 14 years. He was an avid golfer playing with the Anritsu golf team and the Happy Hackers. He enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers and Giants. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Gilroy and recently completed the Right of Christian Initiation in 2002. He also loved his family.
He was the beloved husband of Cyndi Mann of Gilroy; loving father of Lisa Serrano and Terra Murry, her husband, of Hollister; Jerry of Ft. Polk, La; grandfather “Papa” of Justen Lopez and Zachery Serrano both in Hollister and Shelby and Tyler Murry both of Ft. Polk; dear brother of Lois Lane and her husband, Louis, of Rensselaer, Ind. and the late Donald Mann; uncle of Cindy Foster, Ed Lane, and Pam Jordan, all of Rensselaer, Ind. and David and Ronnie Mann both of Monticello, Ind., Michelle and Ron Loghry of Utah, Rick, Delina and Sandy Carrasco of Washington, David and Jeremy Ramirez of Wash., Corey Lalone and Alison Amend both of Wash., Sara, Jamie, Jake and Elizabeth Wade of Utah, Joseph and David Lalone of San Jose, Vincent and Sam Sainz, Adriana Trevino, Eric Harrod all of Wash; son-in-law of Angelina Lalone of Wash; brother-in-law of Michael Lalone and his wife Gwen of San Jose, Mitchell Lalone of San Jose, Tony Lalone of Mo., Lisa Hoag and her husband, Matthew of Flor., Diana Carrasco and her husband, Joe, Beverly Ramirez and her husband, Tony, Mona Amend, Christine Harrod and her husband, Eric all of Wash. and Patricia Jackson and her husband, Randy of Texas.
He was a native of Wadena, Indiana.
Visitation with family present at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. A vigil will be held at 7 PM that night at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home then to the church for Mass at 2 p.m. The burial will follow.
