Long-time Hollister resident
Long-time Hollister resident Zoe E. Rezendes died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003 at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. She was 95.

Mrs. Rezendes was born in Pt. Reyes (Marin County) and had lived in Hollister since she was 8 years old. She attended local schools and worked for 39 years as a telephone operator for AT&T and also in farming with her late husband.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary, the Golden Years Club and a former member of Business and Professional Women.

She is survived by her sister, Olga Laveroni of San Jose; her nieces and nephews, Joe Caporgno Jr. of Hollister, Glenda Dickey of San Jose and Jane Hinz of Bakersfield; and many great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Rezendes in 1995; her sister, Inez Sarvis; and her brothers, Joseph and Bob Caporgno.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 25 from noon to 6 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to a favorite charity.
