Hollister Police officers arrested Greg Larios, 29, on Feb. 15 on gun and drug charges after a car stop in which Larios evaded police who caught him after a short foot pursuit.
On Feb. 15 at 1 a.m., Officer Luis Toribio conducted a traffic stop in the 10 block of San Felipe Road. Officers reported the driver of a vehicle drove into the parking lot of the Quik Stop Market and came to stop, where he fled the vehicle on foot. Larios was found a short distance away near Jerrry’s Restaurant.
Officers reported that a search of the vehicle turned up a large, concealed knife, ammunition and a large amount of drugs.
Larios was booked on charges of being a gang member carrying a loaded firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being in possession of ammunition while prohibited from owning it, being in possession of a controlled substance, obstructing an officer and carrying a dirk or dagger.
