Antonio “Tony” J. Reyes died last Friday in San Jose at the age of 62. He was born in Hollister and was a former resident of San Juan Bautista. He was a maintenance supervisor for ConAgra Foods in Gilroy and had served in the U.S. Army in the 1970s. Tony is survived by his devoted partner, Karen Shurden, of Gilroy and his 3 sons; Jason and Mario Reyes of Watsonville and Jordan Reyes of Gilroy, brother of Robert Reyes of San Martin, Jess Reyes of Reno and Tillie Todd of San Juan Bautista. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home in Hollister, Thursday from 10 A.M. until 8 P.M., with a Rosary service to be held at 7 P.M. Funeral services will begin Friday from the funeral home at 9:30 A.M., proceeding to Old Mission San Juan Bautista for a funeral Mass commencing at 10 A.M. Graveside services will follow at the San Juan District Cemetery.
