The San Benito County Arts Council is partnering with local high schools to present a national poetry recitation contest.
Anzar and San Benito High School students will participate in county finals for a “Poetry Out Loud” competition with the winner advancing to a contest in the state’s capital, Sacramento.
The event will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 29 at Anzar High School, at 2000 San Juan Highway in San Juan Bautista. Admission is free.
