San Benito scored in the 38th minute on an assist from Rose
Vandenberg to Michelle Sanchez to go up 1-0 at the half.
Sanchez assisted on the second goal on a nice cross to
Vandenberg in the 56th minute. In the 62th minute, with assists
from Vandenberg and Sanchez, Brittany Huth scored the third
goal.

North Salinas had a chance to score with about five minutes left after the Balers were called for a hand ball inside the box.
Goalie Mary Von Urff knocked the ball away and was able to clear it out. She had eight saves, including the penalty kick. San Benito had 14 shots on goal, while North Salinas had 10.
The Balers (10-5-3, 6-1-1 TCAL) have two games left before the Central Coast Section playoffs begin – at Salinas on Friday and against Notre Dame on Feb. 11.
