Gilroy – Police are searching for two men who robbed Bank of the West at gunpoint Saturday morning.

Two men, with their faces covered and armed with small-caliber handguns, entered the bank at 7865 Monterey St. shortly before 10am. They immediately ordered everyone inside the bank to the ground, according to witness statements to the Gilroy Police Department.

One of the suspects jumped over a teller counter and took cash from several bank teller drawers, before fleeing on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police are looking for two adult Hispanic males, described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. One suspect was wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt and black Pittsburgh Steelers baseball hat. The second suspect was wearing a checkered Pendleton shirt, a black baseball hat and a blue bandanna.
