Daniel Arevalo and Jacob Tonascia each contributed three RBIs
apiece and the San Benito High baseball team won its sixth straight
game Tuesday as it defeated host Everett Alvarez 11-0 in a
shortened, five-inning game. Arevalo was 3 of 4 with a triple and
two runs scored to go along with his three RBIs, while Tonascia
went 2 of 4 to lead the Balers.

Daniel Arevalo and Jacob Tonascia each contributed three RBIs apiece and the San Benito High baseball team won its sixth straight game Tuesday as it defeated host Everett Alvarez 11-0 in a shortened, five-inning game.

Arevalo was 3 of 4 with a triple and two runs scored to go along with his three RBIs, while Tonascia went 2 of 4 to lead the Balers.

San Benito scored in each of the five innings, plating seven runs in the fourth and fifth frames.

The Balers are now 11-2 in the Tri-County Athletic League, 13-4 overall.

Cooper Sepulveda picked up the win on the mound for San Benito Tuesday, tossing three shutout innings while allowing one hit and striking out two. Michael Breen (0R, 1H) and Cody Gessell (0R, 1H, 2K) each threw one inning in relief.

At the plate, Dustin Rovella had two hits and two runs scored, while Bryan Granger was 2 of 2 with a pair of runs, an RBI and a triple.

Tuesday’s win, meanwhile, moves San Benito into first place in the TCAL for the time being, as Palma (10-2-1) lost to North Salinas by a 3-1 margin on Tuesday.

San Benito and Palma will meet up in Salinas on Wednesday for a key TCAL matchup. First pitch is 4 p.m.
