Bethel Faye Tipton passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, shortly before her 102nd birthday. She was a long-time resident of Mabe Northside.
She is survived by daughters, Johnna Tipton and Kathy Stapp of Nevada City, sons, Duane Tipton of Sacramento and David Tipton of Stockton, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Tipton, daughter, Judy Eustice and son, Billy Bruce Tipton.
Bethel was born on June 30, 1914, in Diller, NE, the only daughter of George and Eva Henrichs. She married John Tipton in 1933 in Fairbury, NE and moved to Hollister in 1947.
Bethel loved Hollister’s rolling, oak studded hills and “perfect” weather. She was a devoted and proud mother and grandmother.
Later in life, she volunteered at the Foster Grandparent Program for the San Juan School District. She remembered all of the children from this program fondly.
Bethel’s family is extremely grateful to the staff of Mabe Northside for the loving care she received from them for over 15 years.
