Carmen G. Ewing, so very peacefully and willingly went HOME on October 19th, 2011. She was born in Alberhill, CA on January 20, 1928.

She is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Lorenza Gutierrez, brothers Arnulfo, Francisco and Refugio, who died in a childhood fire, sister

Mercedes, brother Antonio and brother Father Josh (Arnulfo), she was also preceded in death by spouses Raymond Mejia, Anthony Williams Sr. and Dr.

John Ewing.

Surviving siblings are brothers Ross and Frank, and sisters Annie, Olivia and Clara, children John (Leticia), George, Anthony Jr. and Esther Hayhurst, numerous nieces, nephews and god children, and

grandchildren John Jr. (Angela), Jimmy Hayhurst (Danette), Sarah (Scott), Mathew, Joseph (Katie), Bryan and Antonia, and great-grandchildren Maggie,

Nash, Jack, Madaline, James, Alice, Charlie and Owen.

Mission Mortuary of Monterey arranged the funeral services with a rosary at the mortuary on Sunday, October 24th, 2011, at 6:00 P.M., followed by a mass of

resurrection at San Carlos Cathedral on Monday, October 25th, 2011, at 9:30 A.M. and gravesite services at San Carlos Cemetery, with closing thoughts by her brother Ross Gutierrez.

She enjoyed traveling, most of the United States, Mexico, Panama, England, and most of Europe and northern Africa.

She cherished birthdays, family

gatherings and funerals, as a chance to take photos of those gathered and spent a lot of time organizing and making photo albums in Photo Club. She had a special kinship with Red Hats Ladies and her dear friend Rory.
